A major NOC commissioned this multi-phase project, evaluating the market for high value lubricating and specialty oils. After identifying the most promising product streams, ERAS and its technical consultants evaluated production technology and designed a base oil refinery.

GCC-EU natural gas export study

This study sponsored by the European Commission and GCC Secretariat looked at the supply and demand outlook for natural gas in the two areas and the potential costs of exporting gas to Europe via new international pipelines and LNG shipping.

IPP and IWPP commercial advice

ERAS has undertaken strategic and contractual advice and commercial forecasts of water, power and gas markets in support of independent water and power development projects. Our emPower energy and water modelling and forecasting platform was used extensively for this work.  The emPower system covers Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and several other Middle East markets.

Natural gas demand outlook

ERAS has developed a detailed demand-supply model of natural gas in Saudi Arabia. The detailed model identifies planned and expected demand by individual large industrial consumer including cement, gypsum and glass plants.

Polyester fibres and chip plant

ERAS were the marketing and financial advisors to a minority investment group who took a stake in the Ibn Rushd PET plant built in Yanbu. Our responsibilities included reviewing and amending the market study performed by SABIC, re-working the financials and proposing an optimal plant configuration based on our market study to SABIC.
