Paediatrics hospital

A full market evaluation and financial feasibility study for a regional paediatrics hospital. The work included identify, evaluating and negotiating with leading paediatrics hospitals to act as joint venture partners.

Private hospital network

Pre-feasibility study for a private sector hospital group looking at establishing a network of clinics and hospitals in the GCC.

Third-party medical services

A market evaluation of the potential for the provision of third-party medical services to both private sector and government medical institutions in Saudi Arabia and neighbouring GCC markets.

Well-women clinics

A feasibility study into the potential for a network of well-women clinics in a GCC state. The clinics would follow the European structure, promoting preventative health actions and providing a one-stop-shop for a range of tests, checks, information and advice.

Private pro-active health clinics

A market assessment of the potential demand for a network of pro-active health clinics in the main cities in the GCC.

Insulin manufacturing plant

A full feasibility study was undertaken by ERAS to establish the first bio-technology plant in the GCC. This included the preparation of a full investment prospectus and presentations for technology partners, bankers and the SIDF. Construction on Saudi Arabia’s first biotech facility is scheduled to start Q4 2008.

Blood separation facility

Pre-feasibility study into the potential for a blood separation and blood products facility in Saudi Arabia. The study looked at donor selection and sourcing issues, processing requirements, local demand and project economics.

Vaccine production

A feasibility study into the potential for the manufacture of basic vaccines in Saudi Arabia, targeting both national and regional markets. The study included the identification of the key vaccines for local manufacture and full economic evaluation.

Syringes and needles

A feasibility study into the potential for full manufacture and packaging of syringes and needles in Saudi Arabia, targeting the GCC market.

Injector pens

Pre-feasibility study for an injector pen manufacturing plant targeting the insulin market.

Medical grade glass

Feasibility study for the production of medical grade glass cullet and glass products (vials, ampoules, dishes, syringes, etc.) utilising locally available high-purity silica sands.

Medical disposables

A market assessment study to identify medical disposable products that have potential for manufacture in Saudi Arabia.
