Recent projects in Transport:

Saudi Railway expansion

The large-scale expansion in the Saudi rail network is creating many business opportunities. ERAS had undertaken a number of studies into the potential for new mineral extraction and processing, railway equipment and services.

Bulk liquids storage

ERAS completed a market survey to assess the potential for a third-party bulk liquids storage facility and delivery service in the GCC.

Haj railway

ERAS has undertaken a pre-feasibility study into a new Haj railway line. This passenger service would connect central Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah, as well as King Abdulaziz International Airport.

New executive airline

The airline industry in the GCC is expanding and fragmenting as a number of new low-cost and executive-only airline take on the national carriers. ERAS have worked with new players in the industry, assisting them in identifying potential partners. In addition, we have supported work by banks valuing airline assets and services.

Truck freight service

ERAS has undertaken a number of studies into road haulage services. This includes expansion of existing independent services, comparative analysis of in-house and third-party services for new mining ventures, and strategic planning and marketing.

Port competition analysis

Competition among ports in the GCC is increasing as a result of the expansion of existing terminals, creation of new ports (King Abdullah Economic City Sea Port) and development of transport networks (Saudi Land Bridge, Bahrain-Qatar Causeway). ERAS has worked on several studies into the port competition and the opportunities that are being created.
