Green building attempts to integrate waste minimisation, energy efficiency, materials efficiency, sustainability and environmental integrity into the planning, construction and use of buildings.

Green buildings result in cost savings in the operation of the building and higher rental values, due to their effects on worker productivity and company image.

There are a number of accepted standards for green building, including LEED in the US and BREAM in the UK. ERAS has LEED-certified personnel.
