Recent projects in Petroleum:

New oil refinery investment

A major NOC commissioned us for a multi-phase project to evaluate available refinery systems and potential technology configuration options (severe hydrotreating or hydrocracking) to produce high value, low aromatics lubricating and specialty oils. The project included market, financial and technical studies as well as software development. A business plan and process configuration with equipment specifications were delivered with our recommendations.

Oilfield services business development study

Our GCC client appointed ERAS to evaluate the potential for entering the higher value oilfield services market in the GCC through a start-up, joint venture or acquisition. The study evaluated the various market segments of this industry, the competition and the market potential in the GCC area by reviewing drilling programmes and projecting technology needs and supply potential. Deliverables included busienss strategy and hgih level costing.

Oil drilling muds and chemicals

This market study involved a detailed survey of oil drilling programmes and chemicals used in the North Sea and the Arabian Gulf. The objective was to determine whether a manufacturing facility could be established in the Middle East.
