In the renewable energy and broader environmental sectors, ERAS is active in projects concerning carbon pricing and trading, solar thermal, tidal power, photovoltaics, wind farms, hydro power, sustainable development and climate change policy. We provide corporate, government and financial clients with due diligence and bankability studies, technical appraisals, project analysis, financial projections, carbon pricing and commercial strategies.

Our emPower model has been designed to forecast changes to supply, CO2 emissions and electricity price given varying mixes of renewable sources.

Recent projects in Renewables:

Spain solar thermal

ERAS prepared a technical study and market evaluation for a project developer and banking consortium for large solar thermal plant in southern Spain. ERAS investigated how a solar thermal plant would integrate and compete within the wider Iberian power market.

Wind farms

ERAS has undertaken numerous wind farm studies in Sicily, Spain, mainland Italy and UK. Our work included modelling and analysis of wind data gathered from anemometers, production forecasts and commercial analysis and advice for project developers and banks.

Commercial due diligence for Italian hydro and cogen plants

We advised the buyers and their financial partners on the acquisition of a small portfolio of hydro and cogen plants in two regions of Northern Italy. We have a retainer for five years with the financial consortium to provide forecasts and advice.

Saudi small-scale solar feasibility study

ERAS has investigated the potential for small-scale photovoltaics, solar water heating and solar cooling in Saudi Arabia on behalf of local investors. This has involved technology appraisals, market evaluations, revenue projections and identification of potential technical partners.
